Position / Responsibilities / Requirements

Toronto District School Board is looking for an experienced, knowledgeable, and skilled customer-focused team player to direct purchasing services and explore avenues for new partnerships and maintain timely and complete communications and excellent public and supplier relations. Reporting to the Executive Officer, Finance, the Senior Manager will bring strategic direction and oversight to the Purchasing Department, an inclusive leadership approach, and a commitment to corporate-wide collaboration to the senior leadership team. The Senior Manager is a key contributor to the development of organizational culture, corporate decision-making and provides ideas and advice that support the School Board’s priorities.

Position Profile

The ideal candidate will have a University degree in Business or related discipline and a professional designation (e.g. CPP/SCMP, CPPO, CPM, CA, CMA, CGA). They have eight years of progressively responsible experience in the management of purchasing, warehousing, and logistics in a complex and dynamic customer service delivery environment. Experience with Broader Public Sector procurement is also a requirement, as is experience working with local unions and knowledge of labour agreements.
