Tony Woolgar, Partner, Legacy Partners Executive SearchTony Woolgar is a Partner in the Legacy office in Toronto and is Head of our National Healthcare / Social Services Leadership Practice. Tony is an accomplished health care leader with over thirty years’ experience in senior management and leadership positions, including thirteen years at the CEO level.

Tony has extensive experience of recruiting to leadership roles at the organizational and provincial levels. He has been a champion for hospital leadership development and succession planning throughout his career through coaching and the development of leadership training programs and more recently through leading executive search assignments. Tony also has considerable experience of introducing new integrated healthcare delivery models across health communities including the development of collaborative partnerships between health care professionals and governance bodies and between hospitals and other health care providers. He has a passion for identifying and developing tomorrow’s leaders at all levels of the health care system.

Tony was the founding CEO of the South West Local Health Integration Network and led the development of the first Integrated Health Service Plan as well as developing the first Accountability Agreements with the twenty hospitals in the South West LHIN. Tony also has extensive experience of leading the health care reform agenda in Ontario at the provincial level, including leadership roles with Criticall Ontario, the Aging at Home initiative and the Quality by Design program. 

Tony holds a Masters in Business Administration from Keele University in England, and Diplomas in Health Service Management and Personnel Management. Tony is a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE).
